Witbier Pork Chops (Namaste)

Ideal Brew cooked up some pan seared pork chops with a witbier lemon dressed caesar style salad, and lemon garlic mash potatoes! Here is how we did it! For this recipe I used (and drank) Namaste Witbier by Dogfishhead Brewery in Milton, DE. Hope you enjoy!

Recipe: Pork Chops – Witbier lemon dressed salad & mash potatoes

  • 2 Center cut Pork Chops
  • 1 Romaine lettuce stalk
  • 1 can Anchovies / drained
  • 1 lemon / halved
  • 8 radishes/ sliced
  • 4 potatoes / diced
  • 6 garlic cloves / diced
  • 1 stick butter
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Olive Oil
  • 1 bottle Witbier
  • Grated Parm cheese

Lightly oil and salt & pepper pork chops

Prepare potatoes and boil in water until soft.

Sear pork chops on skillet 2-3 minutes each side. Transfer to oven @400 degrees and cook through. Approx. 15 minutes.

Meanwhile…in a large skillet combine

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 can anchovies / drained
  • 8 radishes / sliced
  • Romaine lettuce stalks / separated
  • 1/2 squeezed lemon / juice
  • 3 chopped garlic cloves
  • 1/4 cup Witbier (drink the rest)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Cook on low heat until lettuce stalks and radishes have slightly wilted.

Mash Potatoes:

  • Boiled potatoes
  • 1 cup milk
  • 6 tbsp butter
  • 3 chopped garlic cloves
  • 1/2 squeezed lemon

Plate pork chops, romaine lettuce & radishes, mash potatoes.

Pour remaining sauce from the large skillet over salad & pork chops.

Open another bottle of witbier and….
